Winner of several prestigious awards from the Golden Horse Film Festival and Hong Kong Film Critics Society, rising filmmaker Sasha Chuk wrote, directed and co-starred in her acclaimed feature debut adapted from her own semi-autographical novella. Starting in 1997, a turning point in Hong Kong history, the narrative spans two turbulent decades in the lives of two sisters, and their relationship with the delinquent dad played by award-winning Wu Kang-Ren (ABANG ABDIK).

Commençant en 1997, à un tournant important de l’histoire de Hong Kong, le récit couvre deux décennies turbulentes dans la vie de deux sœurs, et leur relation avec un père délinquant interprété par l’acteur primé Wu Kang-ren (ABANG ABDIK).

Sasha Chuk majored in Chinese literature and Sociology at the University of Hong Kong. Her short film ‘The Dropout of Her’ (2019) won Best Cinematography at the 13th Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival. Her next short film, ‘Plain Sailing’ (2022) won the Gold Award at the 27th ifva Awards (Asian Open Category) and was also selected in the 2022 Osaka Asian Film Festival. In 2020, she won the 6th First Film Initiative by Create Hong Kong with her screenplay 'Fly Me to the Moon', an adaptation from her novel. ‘Fly Me to The Moon’ is her feature directorial debut, which earned her a ‘Best Adapted Screenplay’ nomination at the 60th Golden Horse Awards.

Yoyo Tse Wing Yan (Chinese: 謝咏欣; born 4 March 2002) is a Hong Kong actress best known for her debut role in the drama film Fly Me to the Moon (2024), which earned her Best New Performer in the 60th Golden Horse Awards and Best New Performer in the 42nd Hong Kong Film Awards.
