SYNOPSIS

Xue Xiao-lu

Director, member of the China Writers Association, and an associate professor of Literature at Beijing Film Academy.

She is known for the TV series Don’t Respond to Strangers （2001）, feature films Ocean Heaven （2010）, Finding Mr. Right （2013）, and Embrace Again （2021）. She has won and been nominated at many prestigious film festivals and awards including Shanghai International Film Festival, Golden Horse Film Festival, and Golden Rooster Awards. She is also the female director with the highest box office gross of a single picture in China.
