SYNOPSIS
Depressed and in debt following the death of his wife, Santoshi (Jiro Sato, FABLE) tells his young daughter he has found a way out. Pointing to the reward note, he vows to find the infamous serial killer “No Name” (Hiroya Shimizu, TOKYO REVENGERS), claiming he saw the man in the flesh a few days earlier. Kaeda (Aoi Ito, BLANK) cannot believe her aloof, goofy father. But when he goes missing without a trace, she starts fearing the worst—and begins looking for him.

Shinzo Katayama
Born on February 7, 1981 in Osaka prefecture. Shinzo Katayama graduated from “EIZO-JUKU” video school, founded by Genji Nakamura. He worked as an assistant director in “TOKYO!” (08/Omnibus movie directed by Bong Joon Ho), “Boys Over Flowers: Final” (08/Director Yasuharu Ishii), “Mother” (09/Director Bong Joon Ho), “YAMAGATA SCREAM” (09/Director Naoto Takenaka), “My Back Page” (11/Director Nobuhiro Yamashita), “The Drudgery Train” (12/Director Nobuhiro Yamashita), “Yokohama Story” (13/Director Ichiro Kita), “La La La at Rock Bottom” (15/Director Nobuhiro Yamashita), and “Hana's Miso Soup” (15/Director Tomoaki Akune). He made his debut as a feature film director with “Siblings of the Cape” (18), which he produced at his own expense, and swept the movie world. Expanding from six theater screens nationwide to more than 50, he was the double winner of Best Picture and Audience Award in the Japanese Film Feature Competition at the SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema Festival 2018. He also received the 41st Yokohama Film Festival’s New Director Award, and the Newcomer Director's Award at the 29th Japanese Movie Critics Awards. Other directorial works include “Sokoni ita Otoko” (20) and “Samayou yaiba” (21/WOWOW). This is his commercial film debut and his second feature as film director.
