SYNOPSIS
Chak barely makes ends meet at his cleaning company, until he takes former thief Candy and her adorable daughter under his wing. THE NARROW ROAD was the opening film of the Hong Kong International Film Festival before doing its world tour.

DIRECTOR: Ka Sing Fung
A former journalist, Ka has directed and written several short films, including documentary The Art of Cantonese-style Congee in 2017, the 13th Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival entry A Bird Goes By and closing short film Gai Dan Chai (Co-directed and co-wrote with Belgian director Kato De Boeck) in 2019. Other works include 1043rd Day on Minibus - winner of Best Microfilm Silver Award, Best Microfilm Actor and Best Microfilm Screenplay at the 7th Microfilm Project in 2019 - and short film Check please in 2020.
In 2019, Lost Love, which Ka co-wrote and directed, was chosen as a project of the 6th First Feature Film Initiative - Professional Group, receiving funding of HK$8 million from the Hong Kong government’s Film Development Fund. The film was finished in 2022.

DIRECTOR: Kelvin Shum
Kelvin was born in Hong Kong and raised in Melbourne, Australia, from an early age.
During his following years in the university, he was involved in over ten theater productions in Australia, taking up the roles of both actor and director.
In 2013, after pursuing further study in Shanghai Theater Academy, Kelvin ventured to Los Angeles, undertaking the Directing Program to further refine his craft. During that time and after he had graduated he had worked under various studio pictures, indie pictures and commercials as assistant director, director, producer etc. Working on different genres and style of productions.
Kelvin's work ''WE SHALL OVERCOME'' in 2019 won awards at festivals that included ''Best Director'', “Best Thriller”, ‘'Best Cinematography'' and ''Best Ensemble Cast''. Through the experience of many productions and his background to theater, he built up a solid ground for the skills of Directing in video productions.
In 2020 Kelvin returned to Hong Kong, and in the following year, 2021, he directed his first feature film, “Deliverance”. This film marked his debut as a feature Film Director.

Lawrence Kan graduated from Vancouver Film School. His first film, When C Goes with G7 (2013), was selected for the "Hong Kong First" section of the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival 2013. In 2021, he directed his first TV series In Geek We Trust, whose lead actors Ling Man-lung and Kaki Sham were nominated for Best Rising Star and Best Supporting Actor, respectively, at Busan International Film Festival’s Asia Contents Award. Ling won the Best Rising Star. In 2022, Kan directed his second feature film In Broad Daylight.

DIRECTOR: Tracy Choi
Choi Ian Sin (Tracy) is a film director born and raised in Macau. She became involved in videography during high school, and since then, she has developed a passion for filmmaking. Aspiring to be a film director, she left Macau to study filmmaking in Taiwan. After graduating from Taiwan, she returned to Macau and worked in television, as well as producing short films and documentaries.
In 2012, she won an award at the Macao International Video and Film Festival for her documentary, "I'm Here," she was also shortlisted and invited to screen at many other Asian and European film festivals. As part of her master's graduation project at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Tracy completed "Sometimes Naive," which won the best student's film award at the 8th First International Film Festival (First IFF).
The film 'Farming on the Wasteland,' directed by her, received the Judges' Special Award at the 2014 Macao International Video and Film Festival. Tracy’s first feature film “Sisterhood,” was chosen as part of the 1st Macau International Film Festival competition and was awarded the Macau Audience Award. Additionally, she has received two nominations for the 36th Hong Kong Film Award and has been shortlisted and awarded at multiple international film festivals.
